The kind folks at Scholastic are offering THREE of my lucky readers a fabulous prize package to celebrate the release of Catching Fire, Suzanne Collins’s sequel to the awesome dystopian adventure Hunger Games.

I am so excited about Catching Fire and will be posting my review in the next few days. I love good dystopian YA, especially with such a strong female character as Katniss Everdeen. I’m really hoping for more developments with her conflicted feelings about Peeta, and greater development of the mythology of her society.

About the book:

You can get an additional entry by posting about this contest on your blog and leaving a trackback that appears as a comment below. I will randomly draw three names and notify you via my blog.

The Catching Fire book promotion is open to participants with a United States mailing address only (international readers can enter if you have a friend in the States who can accept your prizes by mail!). Entrants under age 13 must have parent or guardian permission to enter. The Catching Fire book promotion runs from September 1 to September 15, 2009. Winners will be announced on or around September 16, 2009.

  18. I LOVED the first book and can’t wait to read the new book. My mom ordered it from BAM and it is taking forever. I would still like to have my own copy that I can read again and again and not have to share with my other 2 adolescent siblings so this contest would be perfect to win!

  20. My son Trevor is a total fan. First of the Gregor books..and now f her Hunger Games seies. He already posted. And I know he would like to win. I promise that if I win–he can have all the extra goodies like the shirt and the pin to stick on his backpack or instrument gig bag! And of course he can have his very own copy of the book, by his favorite author! Last week, one of his honors english assignments was to write a complimentary letter and he wrote a fan letter to Suzanne Collins! I’ve been getting a lot of request’s for people wanting to make there book into a movie… As an author I would love to see my book turned into a movie… It just doesn’t happen that often compared to the amount of books written each year. I’ve had ligitment movie people contact me, and still know movie deal. So my advise is to stick to your dream, and beleive in yourself. Good luck my friends, peace…

  29. Hunger Games and Catching Fire are by far my favorite books and in a series
    This book is fill with great characters, storytelling, and twists
    Suzanne Collins leaving us with a cliffhanger is beyond cruel but worth the wait to crave for more Katniss,Peeta,Haymitch,Gale,and etc
