I upgraded to WordPress 2.3 this morning, and after a few hours of hacking I think I managed to get everything up and running smoothly. If you’re interested:
- You’ll now find tags at the bottom of each post, instead of at the top.
- I am still using Categories as a section in the sidebar. I use these for
Genre, Century, andAuthor’s Nationality. The tags have individual authors, titles for trilogies and series, and some quirky, intuitively created classifications that could be fun to browse. - I realized that the “Keep Reading” code I’m using is causing some weird jibberish on search results pages, tag pages, and archive pages. I’ll be fixing these as I find them.
I’d be ever so grateful if you’d report any bugs or user-unfriendliness you find to me at superfastreader -at- gmail -dot- com.
As always, my banner is designed by the miraculous Hevan Chan.
Heh, I’ll have to upgrade at some point too. I never look forward to upgrading such things.
by the way, submitting a comment results in a database error for some sort of popularity contest plugin…
Ahh, here’s the error code:
Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: A link to the server could not be established in /home/superfa2/public_html/wp-content/plugins/popularity-contest/popularity-contest.php on line 544
Access denied for user ‘superfa2’@’localhost’ (using password: NO) on line: 544
Thanks, Heather–
