Really enjoyed it. Brett had some fresh ideas on some old themes. I love it when the heroes are likable and fallible. Got another recommendation for you: Jennifer Fallon. She's got three trilogies, 2 are related but you could probably read them in any order. She's not quite as dark or complex as your favorite Hobb, but she's got great world building and characters in the grand old epic tradition. Just read this one this week. Really enjoyed it.
