Oh, how I tried. Just could not get into it. I finally quit reading it. My other bete noir is Vanity Fair. I've tried several times to read it, and finally just quit trying. I liked the Reese Witherspoon movie just fine (don't know how close to the story it is and don't really care). Heaven help me if I'm ever forced to read it should I ever decide to go to grad school!
