I can't imagine one of my elementary school teachers getting upset about age-inappropriate literature, unless it was porn or something, but maybe they would have. But even when I read during lessons they never seemed all that interested in the books themselves. Since I was in French Immersion, we did get in trouble if we tried to read English books in school, though. No, never.
